What is the difference between Grade 304 and Grade 316?
- Grade 304: The industry standard. It offers excellent strength and durability for most residential areas.
- Grade 316: Contains molybdenum, which provides superior resistance to chlorides (salt). It is highly recommended for coastal properties (within 5-10km of the ocean) to prevent “tea staining” or surface rust.
Can I see through the mesh clearly?
The answer is Yes. While the wire is thicker than standard fiberglass mesh, the weave is engineered to provide excellent transparency. From the inside to look out, it feels similar to looking through a tinted window or a standard fly screen.
Does it block airflow?
No. Security mesh is designed to allow natural ventilation. While the thicker wire occupies slightly more surface area than a fine insect screen, it still maintains roughly 38-50% open area which can ensure your home cool and comfortable.
Can someone cut through it with a knife?
